Megrez 72 The William Optics Megrez 72 combines the advantages of the smaller ZS 66 line (extremely compact dimensions) with those of the larger 80mm refractors (more light gathering power, and most of all: A 2" Crayford focuser). All this is presented in a particularly beautiful package with a classy finish. This makes the Megrez 72 one of the most attractive compact refractors currently available. The Megrez 72 is small enough to follow you anywhere. It can easily be mounted on a compact mount, even on a camera tripod. With its comparatively large aperture and its very short focal length the Megrez 72 will offer stunning views of large objects such as gas nebulae, star clusters etc. Its pinpoint star images make the Megrez 72 one of our most recommended choices for travelling and for enjoying rich-field images. |

Astro Imaging: One of the most important features of the Megrez 72 is its 2" Crayford focuser. Most other telescopes in this range have only a 1.25" focuser. The larger focuser allows you to use field flattening lenses for optimum photographical results. We recommend the William Optics 0.8x field flattener Type II (not included in the scope of delivery). The Type III flattener is explicitly not recommended for this telescope model! Specifications:

Megrez 90 Doublet APO The Megrez 90 offers almost 27% more light gathering surface then the smaller 80mm refractors. This makes it more powerful for nearly all applications. An FPL-53 glass element is used for very good colour correction. This makes the Megrez 90 a great telescope both for visual and photographical use!
