Suggestion:
You can even point your instrument towards the zenith (90 degrees up). All you need to do is to attach the spotting scope or camera the"wrong" way around (with the altitude slow motion control pointing away from the user.

This adaptor is suitable for nearly all binoculars offering the 1/4" standard thread at the front. By removing the cap on the cenral axis of a pair of binoculars you will usually reveal the 1/4" thread.

This adaptor fits directly into this thread. You can fix your binoculars without any tool using the large knurled knob.

In the base of the adaptor is another 1/4" thread. This will fit onto most standard camera tripods. It fits onto all of the above TS tripods.

As a result your binoculars are held free of vibrations by a tripod, allowing you to observe relaxed for a long time.

Uses
For adapting Spotting Scopes, Binoculars, telelenses, cameras, ... on mounts with Vixen format quick release devices. With the Baader dovetail clamp you can also attach them to a camera tripod.

Terrestrial Use
Without the need to use any clamps or slow-motion controls the Telemont offers smooth and easy movements in both axes. This is particularly important if you want to observe moving objects (birds, ships, ...)

Astronomical Use
The main advantage of the telemont is its capability to observe any point from the horizon to the zenith. The binoculars sit on the side of the mount which means that you will always be able to place yourself under the binoculars. At the same time the binoculars are always perfectly balanced in altitude which allows you to move them without the need of clamps.

Load Capacity
The Telemont carries binoculars, spotting scopes and even telescopes up to approx. 10kgs depending on the tripod used.

Upwards of 4kgs we recommend to use the optional counterweight which can be attached to the Telemont using the also optional counterweight shaft (see image below). With this counterweight the telemont will be balanced in both axes.

The heart of the Telemont is the Tele-Optic Giro Mini. The Giro Mini is available in silver-grey and black. Here you can see the counterweight shaft and counterweight which are used if you are using a very heavy instrument.

Tripod Connection
The Telemont has an M10 thread in the base. This allows you to attach the mount to any tripod with an M10 or 3/8" thread.

Many camera tripods have the 3/8" thread. If your tripod has the smaller 1/4" thread an adaptor is available separately.

An Overview of TS Binoculars

Large binoculars in particular are much fun to use. They offer large fields of view and allow you to use both eyes. But observing comfort depends very much on the magnification and weight - at more than 10x and approx. 900 grams you get shaky images when holding the binoculars in your hands. As a consequence you will see less details and will find observing to be quite straining after a while.

Normal camera tripods are a big improvement, but they lack the possibility for smooth movements in both axes. You will also find it a bit difficult to look at high up objects like an airplane or the night sky.

The TS Binomount is the solution to this problem:

Smooth Movements in Both Axes - Up To The Zenith (90° Up)
The binoculars are directly attached to the L-adaptor on the parallelogram style mount. It can be properly balanced by adjusting the counterweight. Movements are controlled by a friction clutch, you do not need to loosen any clamps. You just take the binoculars, move them into the proper position and they will stay that way - just enjoy observing!

Which Binoculars Can Be Used?
All binoculars up to approx. 4.5kgs work on the TS Binomount. If the binoculars have a 1/4" camera thread on the front side you need no further adaptation. If your binoculars have an integrated tripod adaptor with 1/4" thread at the bottom end a small modification needs to be done to the Binomount. We can do this for you, the modification takes about two weeks on average. Please always state the exact binocular type so that we can check whether any modification needs to be made.

The TS Binomount can be used with nearly all of our binoculars up to 100mm aperture.

Observing with the TS Binomount
On the images to the left you can see how comfortable to use the TS Binomount is. You can stand behind the binoculars relaxedly and concentrate on what you can see. As a result you see more detail than you would see in free-hand observations.

Within seconds you can switch from observing the horizon to observing the sky. You can observe planes, birds or objects in our milky-way with the same ease and comfort. You will also reach the zenith (90° above the horizon) easily.
